The Baseline Discrim-A-Gon Aesthesiometer Set was made to assist with the evaluation of touch threshold and cutaneous sensitivity. This piece of medical diagnostic equipment has the ability to test dynamic and static one-point and two-point discrimination. This device includes 2 separate 2 point discrimination octagons to accomplish these tests.
This piece of equipment is used as a training device for post-op patients and for sensory-deprived patients. Each of the individual octagons possesses the ability to produce measurements using a different range of 8 fixed 2-point intervals. These intervals can range anywhere from 1 mm to 25 mm. The plastic wheel of this device is lightweight so that you will be able to do your work easily.
This device was created to allow you to obtain measurements that are consistently accurate so that patient evaluation is easy.
